I feel that the creation story is for us to know where other people stand at, and for us to know that we all have different beliefs and for us to understand how different cultures were raised to believe in and we are not the only ones who have a creation story. I personally don’t think it is important, because you don’t have to believe in something just because you fear god might do something bad to you, like I said ever one have their own beliefs and its based on what they grew up from, and when us Americans hear a creation story form like Japanese for example we think they going to hell because they believe differently but its vice versa, we could be the ones who is getting taught differently.
2. What symbols have you seen in either the story “The four Creations” or “The World on Turtle’s back”? Explain what the symbol means and why it is important to the story? (1 hefty paragraph)
The symbols I’ve seen was both the women’s died from giving strange births, and I think that’s why people now have to be careful of what they do or eat when they are pregnant so them or their babies wont die.
3. What is the difference in the theme of “The World on Turtle’s Back and “The Four Creations”? (1 paragraph)
The difference is that they both have different beliefs and different ways on how earth and other creations were made.

Having a creation story can is very significant for many cultures. People always want to know where they came from. So if their “people” make a creation story it is based on what they believe and most of these legends or stories are similar to each. Having a story of where you have come from gives you a kind of identity that people crave in their cultures and lives. So if these stories are created ti gives people a sense of who they are and where there people come from and may answer unexplained occurrences.
I personally don't believe in a certain story as people may say. I am open minded when it comes to the creation of human race. I think that anything is possible. Some of the stories may sound ridiculous but that is someones belief. I personally believe that there may be a some kind of higher being. This higher being could have wanted the humane race to be created by evolution or maybe he made us from dust. Its hard for me to choose a creation story, because I don't know what to choose or which to personally believe in my heart. But if I had to make a decision I think it would be that a higher being made everything and wanted thing to evolve and become what it is today.
One symbol from “The Four Creations” that was important to the story is Spider Woman. She symbolizes a mother nature character. Sotuknang had created her so that she could create life, and as her duty was she created all life. It's similar to when people say “Mother Earth” spider Woman created life and symbolized the life of the earth. She sang thing to life. She is important to the story, because she was the main creator I suppose. She made all the animals, plants and humans, Taiowa made it possible but she did the hard work. Spider woman did all that she was asked and did her part in the creation of the worlds.
In “The Four Creations” the theme is that events repeat themselves until the individuals involved endure hardships that steer them away from repetition. “The World on Turtle's Back” has a theme that is the world needs balance. They are different because one is repeating itself in similar but different situations and the other is the struggle to achieve that balance.
