Homework 10/14/09

  1. Study for Vocab Quiz
  2. Complete the worksheet that was passed out in class. You will get credit for doing the whole worksheet. You are not obligated to complete the whole essay, but you can if you would like.

If you were not in my class (3rd period class) please see Derek or Raymond Wyatt for the worksheet that must be completed.

When giving a speech I tend to be very ambiguous, because I like my student to think about what I just said.

The light from the sun was low but there was light in all the for conner of my room.

I could help but feel ambivalent knowing that i couldnt the president and doug could.

1. The story we read in English class had a very ambiguous ending.
2. It was strange that the guests didn't take the treats, since they were ambient in the dining room.
3. I was really ambivalent about the dance because I really wanted to go, but I knew there would always be "drama" afterwards.

Vocabulary Week 9

1.)Ambiguous: Because the candidate didn’t want to give his support to the cause, he gave an ambiguous answer to the reporters.

2.)Ambient: At the spa, the ambient music seemed as if it were everywhere.

3.)Ambivalent: My room-mates were arguing about whether or we should have Chinese or pizza. I was ambivalent because, I like both.

4.)Amphitheatre: I went to go see Janet Jackson at the amphitheatre down in Rosecrans.

5.)Ephemeral: The carnival is in town but, it will only be ephemeral so, the children are sad.

6.)Epiphyte: Moss is a very good example of an epiphyte because of the fact it clings to moist surfaces for support.

7.)Epitaph: Since he had very little people in his life that cared for him, when he died, his epitaph was blunt and vague.

8.)Epithet: Even after his death, Michael Jackson is still known by the epithet, “The King of Pop”.
