This poem is A bit hard to understand and ive read it over and over. What I did get out though made since to the piont where I realized that this poem made some good pionts about life and how to go about certian things.

2) well the only thing that compares to the way i see life is the morales that are set in the peom . For example the the speacker talks about Act in the living present. Which I completly agree with.

The auhtor says that life is not what it seems not enjoyment and not sorrow. Life is not dumb , driven cattle! The last for lines are saying live on and enjoy and learn.

3) What I belie the writer is trrying to sya is that life goes on and we learn so much, But why is the process so hurtful. No mater what countinue to live on. I agree with the speaker becuase if life wasnt about that then what would be the piont of living and trying to be happy the rest of our lifes.

1.The meassage of the peom is that Life is a blessing and everyone should experience everything and act as if it's your last day on earth.
2. To act with sorrow and without enjoymnet is to be unhappy and will be the end of you. But to act with enjoyment and happiness will bring you farther in life.
3. I agree with the person's view of life in a make believe kind of way becasue i think that it's easy to say that we're going to live life to our foolest when most of us don't even know what kind of great things we could be doing becasue society a lot of times doesn't give us that option. But then again we always have a choice and we can either chose to live life our own way without rules or do the opposite.
4.So i've realized that the writer is also saying that if we do what we are required to do then greatness will come to us because we have went through the phases that will ultimatley shape our life

1. I think that the poem is beautiful. I thin that it is saying that you need to take life as it is and to be patient with it.
-According to the speaker our destined end or purpose is to not enjoy nor to have sorrow.

2. He says that life is an empty dream, when he says "Act-act in the living present" he is trying to tell you not to dwell in the past or to think about the future, just worry about now. In the last four lines he says that do something with your life, achieve something and be patient with it.

3. He says that what we go through will help us in life and the good people in life will help us more because we see what they go through and they are kind of like a role model for us. people will go and come but we still have to keep moving forward.

1. My thoughts on this poem is that no matter where your heart yearns your pain is still in the place where the pain all started.

Comprehenshion Check
Our destined end is to learn to labor and to wait.to accept the faults.

2. The speakers point of view is simmilar to my own persective in many waysfor example "with life is not sorrow" therefore do not morn. Also with line 23 'Act-act in the living present" i think of it as dont worry about the past and dont count on the future. The last four line translate in the following i find it truthfull when it says" with a heart of any fate"

3. The poem is talking about a positive perspective on life. On how you can agree with the speaker in a positive way.

1. My thoughts on the message of the poem were that life should be live and lead today and not dwelled upon and followed tomorrow. Any body can make history; there’s some much evidence of great people making history. Other people can use the greats as reference (inspirational).
a. The speaker is trying to tell us to if you keep dwelling on the future you’re never going to live for today.
2. The speaker view of life compares to my view of life in a sense that I look to the greats as a references to strive my goals to be remembered in history.
a. Life isn’t meant to live and just die it’s meant for the in between. What he says life isn’t is “it’s a waste of time.” – My quote
b. To live today.
c. Accomplish the goals of life with enthusiasm enduring and withstanding time itself. Undestructively
d. Trust no Future, howe’er pleasant! Let the dead Past bury its dead! Act-act in the living Present! The relationship between my philosophy and his is that one shouldn’t predict what’s to happen but continue to be content. The past is the past don’t worry about it that much. Act and live in the present!
3. The greats can inspire people who are down by looking at them for inspiration.

1)live life to the limit work hard and grow each day, don't live to die rather live to learn and enjoy.
*our purpose is to work, achieve, and pursue; but remember life isn't all aboutpain and pleasure it's about growing a little more each day.
2) I believe the same; I don't believe we are put here just to die, we are here to work hard in pursuing a goal and eventually we will achieve that goal.life was meant to be enjoyed.
* he says life is not an empty dream.
*the speaker is saying live now and not in the past.
* the speaker is saying that now is the time we should act and take chances and not worry about what's to come but enjoy it while still maintaining hard work and patience in your life.
*"Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,Is our destined end or way; But to act, that each tomarrow Find us farther than today.
3)Great people don't define life by the experience they get from it but from what they learned from that growth and how they could use it in the future so they don't make the same mistakes. I do agree with the speaker because life isn't about what happen to but rather what you learned from it and will you use that to continue your jouney because it's not about if you reach the end; it's about what you learned on the way there.

1) My thought about the poem was that he made me want to live and appreciate my life because I really never did like the way I lived. What I also liked of the things he said was that he made it easier for me to understand what he was trying to say.
2) What he said that life was not was that he said its goal was not to end up in the casket or dead that its to live.
-A- What i think he was trying to say was that to live in the present and live your life to the fullest and don't hide out.
-B- What he said was to keep living and learn everyday of life.
-C- I choose life is like a box of chocolate because that quote is right you do not know ever what to expect or what is going to happen the next day, minute, or hour.
3) What I think the writer was trying to tell us was that to live life and don't stop living because you will never know and also always keep learning and always be on top of everything.

1. According to this speaker he is trying to say that "our destined end" is not made we are to live each day to go farther than before. this poem speaks work to me. you have to work at life and death is not the goal the goal is to gain something each day.
2. the speaker says that life is not meant to live to die. i feel like we are meant to live a life of success in our own minds and that we are all trying to get to our one prefect self in our journeys of life. " Act - in the living present" means don't dwell on the past and worry of the future live your life to the fullest day by day. this author is trying to say don't dwell we all need to live as thought we have something to live for. the closest lines to my own personal philosophy is " in the world's broad field of battle, In the bivouac of life, Be not like Dumb, driven cattle! Be a hero in the strife! i feel that every one should be a leader and not follow like a cow. although sometimes it takes a leader to follow the right person or morals.
3. Great men leaves a trail of their success and they have given a hope to others that they can achieve greatness as well. so other can pick on their energy still remaining and push forward and pursue their lives and dreams.

1) This is a great poem. The poem has a strong message about life. Usually, there are cliches on how to live your life, but this poem expresses it in a stronger way.

Comprehension Check
Our destined end is to leave footprints for others, so they can have an example to have a successful end do.

2) The quotation that i like is, "and the grave is not its goal." I like this because the goal to life is not death. I believe that the goal the goal people should have is to succeed in something and be happy. Work hard and experience many things. The command, "Act in the living Present!" It means that we should cherish the moment. don't worry about the future and don't dwell on the past. Whatever happens, happens, and the past in just full of learning experiences.

3) The speaker is saying that people in the past has left examples for us to keep working hard and to live the right way. They remind us that we CAN have a successful life. Then, we can become great people and leave footprints for the next generation.
