In my essay im going to talk a little bit of what's the Mental Health Care Reform Movement and then introduce two activist that were a big influence on this movement.
My Thesis: Their was a time were many different problems rose into people's life, but one problem that rose into people's brain was a mental issue , people who were crazy in tha brain were out into institutions and were treated like animals , but only a few people stood up for it. Eventually, due to the efforts of Dorothea Dix and Clifford Beers mental health care improved trough the years.
Both Cesar Chavez, with the United Farm Workers and the Brown Berets, tried to advocate for the rights of Latinos, however they used different methods to achieve their goals. Cesar Chavez along with the United Farm Workers had a more peaceful way to achieve their goals. While on the other hand The Brown Berets had a more hands on action approach. For example they didn’t want to talk to the white people so they used more violent methods to achieve their goals.
