Homework 11/4/10

Period 1
Post Vocab Sentences or email me your extra credit link.

Period 3
Correct your Vocab Worksheet sentences on a separate sheet of paper.
Finish any of the sheets that you have not turned in.
If you did not take the quiz, send me an email and tell me when you can take it. Otherwise, you will have a zero for it.

The neighbors around the block heard the loud music at a late night party because their fences were adjacent to each other which made the music even louder.

During the test the young boy had to conjecture because he did not study the previous night.

Dejected, I shook the other teams hand because they played a really good game and it seemed like all of our hard work was for nothing.

The footballs trajectory spin and distance fell right into the receivers hands in the end zone.

The detraction of Cd players and walk-mans has been lost due to I pods.

The basketball play was protracted until the shot clock ran out.

Sentences Week 7:

Adjacent: I know where he lives, because his house is directly adjacent from mine.

Conjecture: Did you REALLY put effort into this test, or did you just conjecture?

Dejected: Since being put on his new medication, John has been completely dejected.

Trajectory: When throwing a baseball, it becomes a trajectory object.

Detract: When he broke up with his girlfriend, she began to detract in his mind.

Protracted: The great artist was able to protract an exact replica of what the scientist wanted to build.

Retraction: When he quit smoking, he had great retraction for the first few days.

Intractable: If you want an A grade in Ms. Ramirez' class, trust me- it's not easily intractable.
