I don't know, i kind of have mixed feeling's towards Walt Whitman.Walt wouldn't be a friend of mind he'll be more like a teacher that gives advice about certain topics. Walt sounded a little to dedicated about his poetry, and made it seem like he was never going to stop until he became recognized for his poetry. He was dedicated to what he believed in and what he wanted for himself. He was willing to do anything for his poetry. Also stop anything in his way of getting his point of view heard by many poem readers.

I feel like Walt Whitman was a very adventurous person. He loved to travel and he was one of those people who started writing small, and got it edited many times before it actually became published. Walt Whitman’s whole goal was to get his point across to the world through poetry. Now at the beginning Whitman’s poetry wasn’t being noticed so he began to send samples out everywhere until he finally got recognized. I think that Walt Whitman was a very interesting guy who was very passionate about writing poetry. I would have Whitman as a friend because he seems like he knows what he is talking about and he is always being open-minded. Going based off of his poem “I Hear America Singing” he is a person who sees things from all around and not just from one point of view. These are my first impressions on Walt Whitman.
