Homework 12/2/08

Period 1
1. Make new Virtue chart based on your own characteristics of virtue. Write a brief description on your chart for your virtue. This must be typed.
2. Post Vocab Sentences for Vocabulary terms (ad hoc, alter ego, etc. ) Remember that you must find them on the Internet and understand the way that the term is being used.
3. Read your vocabulary packet extensively as there will be a quiz on the information in the explanatory paragraphs.

Period 3
Reread "sinners in the hand of an angry God" out loud to someone in your house.
Take notes on the margins for things that you find interesting or hard to understand.

De facto is commonly used in contrast to de jure when referring to matters of law or governance.

A form of ex post facto law commonly known as an amnesty law may decriminalize certain acts.

False identity is a key modus operandi of retail banking fraud.

In the diplomatic arena, a modus vivendi is an instrument recording an international agreement of temporary or provisional nature.

I think it's stupid how the presidential debates are made up of ad hominem attacks instead of facing the issues.

I watched a movie where the girl's alter ego was someone cool and beautiful.
