Hello to all of you!
I thought I would start out this blog by saying Hi and inviting you to open up your minds and ask that you get ready to challenge yourself. I hope that this will not scare you or turn you off, but instead motivate you to be optimistic and face the, hopefully, exciting things that are to come.
I know that my start at San Pasqual comes at an unusual time of the year, but please understand that, as far as I am concerned, we are in it for the long haul. I plan to be here, most definitely, through the end of the year and in years to come.
As far as this next week is concerned... I expect to witness how well you deal with time restraints and deadlines as we will be taking on the serious endeavor of completing the novel Frankenstein. (If you are hyperventilating, please take a moment to compose yourself).
It may sound like I am a tyrant for doing this to you, but from my observation, I concluded that all of you are highly intelligent and eager students that will rise to the occasion. I also feel that we are obligated to finish what has been started and therefore, in the words of Tim Gunn from Project Runway, let's "make it work".
