In class you did a quickwrite that discussed the qualities that you felt are applicable to Today’s times and that make a person virtuous, or morally perfect. Stop and evaluate which of these qualities you have.
Write a three paragraph reflection about your virtuousness. In one paragraph mention the five that you included in your quickwrite and make sure you define what each virtue means. In your second paragraph discuss which ones you actually posses and give an example. In a third paragraph explain the ones that you do not possess, discuss why you don’t possess them and what you can do to change and make sure that you possess them.

1. Paraphrase each paragraph in the beginning portion of the Declaration, starting on pg. 98 to the first indentation on pg. 100. Stop when you get to the words " He has suffered the administration of justice[...]"

1. Make new Virtue chart based on your own characteristics of virtue. Write a brief description on your chart for your virtue. This must be typed.
2. Post Vocab Sentences for Vocabulary terms (ad hoc, alter ego, etc. ) Remember that you must find them on the Internet and understand the way that the term is being used.
3. Read your vocabulary packet extensively as there will be a quiz on the information in the explanatory paragraphs.

Period 3
Reread "sinners in the hand of an angry God" out loud to someone in your house.
Take notes on the margins for things that you find interesting or hard to understand.

1. Make a list of the qualities you think make a person virtuous (a good person).
Virtuous: morally excellent; pure; upright
Make a list of the qualities/characteristics and EXPLAIN why they are important.
2. Make an * next to the qualities that if YOU were trying to grow or advance morally, you would focus on.

3. Write a paragraph response to the reading. Tell me if you liked it or disliked it. If you agreed or disagreed and why. How could it have been done better? and anything else that you want to include.

7. INCLUDE A TITLE (SOMETHING MORE CREATIVE THAN COMPARE AND CONTRAST ESSAY)
8. MAKE SURE YOU INDENT EACH PARAGRAPH.

• Find 5 sentences form the vocabulary blog and correct them. Make sure that you write down the incorrect sentence and the revised sentence.

• Have 2 rough draft paragraphs for your essay.

1. Have an adult revise your essay and sign revision sheet. Make sure they print their name and title under the signature .

2. Have a completed, typed final draft of essay

3. Make sure you have both the peer edit sheet, the adult revision sheet, and a rough draft attached to your final draft essay.

2nd: parent revision

3rd: peer review

4th: rough draft

3. Compare your chart to another classmate's once they are completed (discuss and share) and then write a response (1/2 page minimum) that tells me:

• Whether you agree or disagree with your partner's responses.
• Who do you think is right?
• Explain why you think it's the right response.
• Do they better evdience or do you have better explanations for the answers?
